The Problem

Why Denali Demands a Different Kind of Prep

Denali is where intermediate climbers step into truly serious alpine terrain. The margin for error is smaller. The logistics are heavier. The cold is real. Most people underestimate either the fitness or the logistics. Precision Preparation exists so you don't have to guess on either.

Value Equalizer

What Most Climbers Do

Book a Denali climb → hire a coach → guess everything else → pray it works

What Precision Preparation Does

Starts with the summit, engineers backward, and controls every variable that causes failure:

  • Readiness gaps
  • Poor nutrition at altitude
  • Medical blind spots
  • Equipment mistakes
  • Mental collapse in the storm window

The premium is smaller than the cost of failure

and infinitely less than giving up on Denali.

FAQs

Everything You're Wondering About Precision Prep

Honest answers to the questions high-performing professionals ask before committing to Denali.

What if I'm not fit enough yet?

That's exactly what the 6-month runway is for. We benchmark your Mountain Madness Score, then map TrainingPeaks targets that meet you where you are. If you're committed to the work, we'll build you up deliberately.

What if I sign up and life gets in the way?

We build contingency into the plan. Your coach recalibrates weekly around travel, illness, or workload. If a major life event happens, we'll collaborate on deferment options so the investment still serves you.

Can I join if I haven't done Rainier or Baker yet?

Yes, if you're ready to commit to the prep course component. We'll schedule Denali Prep on Rainier/Baker (or equivalent) to ensure glacier systems, sled management, and fixed lines are second nature before Alaska.

What's your refund / cancellation policy?

Precision Prep mirrors Mountain Madness expedition terms: a $3,000 deposit ($2,000 non-refundable) secures your spot, balance due 120 days out. We strongly recommend cancellation insurance and we're transparent about all inclusions.

How does the training integrate with my existing coach or plan?

We can collaborate with your current coach or take the lead. Alpine Athletics shares CTL targets, lab data, and phase objectives so everyone rows in the same direction. No competing plans one unified roadmap.

What happens if I need more time?

We can extend your programming or shift you to a later Denali departure. The structure is flexible enough to maintain momentum without compromising the standard Lisa expects for Mountain Madness Score.
